Society of the Golden Slippers is dedicated to the discovery and celebration of musical talent.

Founded in April 2010 by Jen Roberts, the Society hosts exclusive events for industry and music lovers every third Monday of the month at London’s Dickensian Blacks Private Members Club, every third Wednesday of the month at Adam St Private Members Club and the fourth Monday of the month at the Royal Albert Hall.

Named after the cockney rhyming slang for 'tippers' - a word used in the music industry to represent 'about to break' artists - as well as the ‘hit’ music hall classic 'oh dem golden slippers', Golden Slippers is devoted to the celebration and nurturing of musical talent.

Guests can enjoy a showcase of major talents ('tippers') that have in the past included The Civil Wars, Lisa Marie Presley, Jake Bugg, Laura Mvula, Ed Harcourt, Lucy Rose, Dry The River, Sam Smith, Jens Lekman, Kristina Train and many more.

Golden Slippers has also previously hosted private showcases for Columbia, RCA, and Secretly Canadian, as well as exclusive events at the Club at The Ivy and Morton's Club.

New members are welcome and guest list requests should be emailed to Jen Roberts (Jen at Please include a brief introduction in your email.

Because of the limited capacity of the venues, guests are forewarned to arrive early.
